UK government is sleeping while people are weeping
Tory cuts are affecting the common person. Despite that, Cameron is still cutting essential services, even including refuse disposal. The government needs to take a committed stand on cuts and make it sure that they occur to overpaid people like MPs, senior administrators and media tycoons like the Murdochs. The latter especially is very easy, as Cameron must realise by now. Cuts to the poor, the elderly and the starving should be avoided. Cuts to the average person must be done only after a discussion and voting.
IMO: Cameron must know by now that hasty action has just about sent his "big society" down the tubes. Real - not faux - adjustments could still save his job and win him acclaim. The records of recent politicians suggest that that is unlikely.
