Invisibility cloak
Invisibility cloaks may be improved by a device slowing down the light before it reaches the cloak. UK developed.
IMO: No basic physics involved AFAIK and it is simple optics. I gather that the 2D version should work for a start, but the heavy practical problems involved with invisibility cloaks can't be easy with yet another light barrier. Could be OK for some lab and VR experiments.
