Al Megrahi
I hear he is said to be 'terminally ill in his palatial mansion' but given no help by Gadaffi very recently.
Why do not the US offer to give him substantial medical care ? After all he was ill in a Scottish jail. Some say that just being in Scotland is almost enough to make you terminally ill. But even after a brief view of a Scottish campsite, I think that fear to be greatly exaggerated. And after all, if the US were nice and kind to him he might give them sufficient information to take their own investigations further (e.g with regard to Syrian involvement), and he could obtain exemption from further trial, say under some witness protection act.
