Pune blast case: Himayat remanded in police custody

An ATS court here on Wednesday remanded Himayat Mirza Baig, one of the accused in the February 13 German Bakery blast case, in police custody till September 20.  Judge S S Bose passed the order after the prosecution told the court that Baig, who had links with LeT and IM, had hatched a "conspiracy" to engineer the Pune blast that killed 17 persons and injured 56 others.

IMO: Apparently he was also involved in the procurement of 1200Kgs of RDX explosives from Pakistan. I hope that anyone who gives aid to Pakistan because of the floods makes very sure that the money is not just going to supply more RDX etc to kill Indians, as so often such money has gone in the past. I worry about the lack of effective stringency of IMF aid provisos especially.
