IMO: We have had attempted mergers like this many times in the past in other fields - Slater Walker and Ling-Temco-Vought being possibly typical cases. The sort of results which might be expected are as for that of the RBOS purchase of Barings, and 10% of Bank of China. 'Nuff said.
