Proposed new waterjet powered ship has hangers for six C-130J 's on deck
Heavy Air Lift Seabasing Ship (HALSS) is proposed to have 35 knots speed, and is a nuclear powered trimaran. It will only weigh 64,000 tons and estimated cost is 1.8 billion dollars, not a lot now dollars are cheap in 'President Bush's depression' It has no protection gear, catapaults or arrestor gear and cost is kept down by removing extras.
